Community Volunteer
Our missionary efforts focused around the Becados scholarship student program which met twice a day in our live-in community center. We also assisted local volunteers in maintaining a kitchen, classroom, library, computer room, clinic, bathroom and chapel. On average, there were four live-in volunteers in Casa San Juan and two others in another two colonies or neighborhoods.

4. Live-In Community Center Volunteer

Delivered Christmas care packages to select neighborhood families with volunteers and families

Cleaned and maintained community center facility and equipment, including roof water reservoir and below ground water holding tank, computers and chapel

Played games with kids in the streets, toured the neighborhood and visited families

Assisted in student outing to San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas and Salinas Mexico

Took in a working homeless man for several months

Assisted and facilitated Becados students in weekly car washing program at the Congregation's chapel to raise funds to pay the internet and electricity bills

Financial and time management for our community house (bills, food, errands, etc.)

Volunteer waiter for La Noche Flamenca fundraising event
